Ingredients
- 2 Lb Bag tater tots, thawed
- 1 Lb ground sausage( I used sage sausage from Wegmans,or use Bob Evans breakfast sausage in a plastic wrapper)
- 1 Yellow Onion, diced
- 2 Cups chedder cheese, divided
- 6 large eggs
- 1 1/2 cups half/half
- salt & pepper
Directions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Lay thawed tater tots on baking sheet and bake 15 minutes to make sure moisture is cooked out. Meanwhile, heat a large skillet over medium heat and cook sausage and onion. Drain off fat and set aside. In a medium bowl beat eggs and half/half. Pour onion and sausage in 9*13 pan. Layer half cheese over sausage. Pour egg and milk mixture over that. Line entire pan with tater tots. Bake uncovered for 35 minutes, pull pan out of oven and top with remaining cheese. Bake for 5 minutes more.
